Canton Partner · Local Business Network

Business Connections in Canton & Guangdong

A local connection for traders coming to China, with personal introductions to businesses and people in my network.

Canton is the traditional English name for Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong and the home of the Canton Fair. Guangdong is the wider province. For a trader visiting China, the fair may be the starting point, while the people and businesses behind an order are elsewhere in the region.

I want Canton Partner to support those traders with a local business network: someone to talk to about what they are looking for, and a personal connection to people who may be able to supply it. My work began with legal support for foreign buyers. I also want to help useful business relationships get started, whether a buyer is in Guangzhou for the fair or planning another visit.

The companies below are a practical starting point. If you are buying hair appliances, toothbrushes or footwear, you can explore their products, contact them directly or ask me to make the introduction.

Canton Fair meetings, autumn 2026

Here are the meeting details for the three businesses. Choose the dates for the company you want to meet; they attend different phases.

Company attendance and booth details supplied by Jonathan on October 16, 2026. The phase dates match the official 2026 buyer attendance guide. Please reconfirm the stand with the company before arranging a meeting.

The companies

I come from Chaoshan, a coastal region in eastern Guangdong around the cities of Shantou, Chaozhou and Jieyang. It has its own local culture and a long tradition of trading. These introductions start with close friends and their business connections in that part of Guangdong. I know the people I am putting you in touch with.

Hair appliances

Xindaman

Jieyang City Xindaman Hardware Electric Appliance Co., Ltd. · Jieyang, Guangdong

Xindaman's Alibaba catalogue lists hair dryers, curling irons, straighteners and straightening brushes. I can introduce buyers looking for these products to my contact at the company, so you can discuss the models and your order directly.

For a hair dryer order, I would start with where the product will be used: voltage, plug, performance requirements and the documents needed for that model in your market. A useful first enquiry identifies the product and quantity, rather than asking for a price for an unspecified dryer.

  • Which model, voltage and plug do you need, and what model-specific testing documents are available?
  • What performance, spare-parts and packaging requirements should be included in the quotation?
Toothbrushes

Guangdong Yinli Daily Chemicals Co., Ltd.

Yinli is the toothbrush business in this group of introductions. If that is what you are sourcing, I can put you in touch with my contact there. Bring a clear idea of the user, the brush and the packaging you need; those details make the conversation much more useful than a general request for the cheapest item.

The first discussion should establish the available range and your proposed specification. If you need your own branding or a particular pack format, raise it at that stage and ask what the company can offer.

Ask Jonathan for a Yinli introduction

  • Is the order for adults or children, and what bristle and handle materials are required?
  • What packaging, pack quantity and branding do you want the company to quote for?
Slippers and sandals

Guangdong Zumei Shoes Co., Ltd.

Rongcheng District, Jieyang, Guangdong

Zumei's website lists EVA and PVC slippers, alongside categories including flip-flops, house shoes, sandals and children's slippers. This is the company I would introduce to a buyer looking to discuss a slipper or casual footwear range.

I can connect you with my contact, or you can start with the company's website. Before asking for a quotation, narrow down the intended use, material and size range. A sample is more useful when both sides understand which features must carry through to the bulk order.

  • Which materials and size range suit the intended use, and what slip-resistance or durability requirements should be specified?
  • How will the agreed sample, colours and material specification be matched in the bulk order?

Before you place an order

Before paying, check the legal seller named in the contract and the payment beneficiary. If the names differ, ask for a clear explanation and supporting documents. Matching names alone do not establish that an account is authentic or that a transaction is safe. Confirm the specifications, delivery terms and after-sales arrangements in writing.

Getting in touch

When you contact these companies, mention Canton Partner to receive a competitive quotation for your requirements. If you would prefer an introduction, send me the product, approximate quantity and destination market on WhatsApp, and I will connect you with the relevant person.

It also helps to include any model, material, voltage, size or packaging requirement that is already important to your order. Once you are connected, you can speak directly with the company about samples, specifications and commercial terms.
